CITITEL GROUP TO MAKE ITS DEBUT IN KOTA KINABALU, SABAH

CITITEL HOTEL MANAGEMENT (CHM), a successful homegrown hotel management company announced today it is making its foray into East Malaysia with its “EXPRESS” brand. The group signed development and operating agreement with Sabah Economic & Development Corporation to construct a 270-room limited frills hotel in the city centre of Kota Kinabalu, targeted to open mid 2009.

Its first Cititel Express was recently launched in Kuala Lumpur, strategically located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

Rooms feature are anchored along efficiency with basic necessities, fast speed internet access complemented with self-service laundrette, mini mart, and an all-day alfresco restaurant offering primarily local delicacies.

In keeping with the “Express” brand’s operating philosophy of “Smart, Clean, Simple” the hotel offers a different dimension of accommodation to the business and leisure travellers --simplicity with great value for money. The Express brand is to focus on the busy road warrior’s aspirations of an affordable place to sleep without the full- blown frills, a functional environment with local identity and service that is friendly and attentive yet unpretentious.
